SHAWN L RENKEN, P.E.
Offering over 20 years of experience and background in the construction industry, Shawn L. Renken is owner and principal engineer with Renken Engineering Solutions, LLC. Formerly, he was the engineering manager for a company in Omaha Nebraska where he specialized in structural analysis, rigging plans & tower modifications in the telecommunications industry. Before that, he was a design engineer for VAK Engineering Services located in Portland Oregon, specializing in temporary engineering designs for the construction industry. He began his engineering career with Kiewit, a fortune 500 construction, mining, and engineering powerhouse, where he was the project engineer for the $426 million dollar Portland East Side CSO Project, which was completed ahead of schedule and under budget. At Kiewit, Shawn was chosen to be on the Engineering Excellence Steering Committee, where he helped to develop standard engineering practices for the underground district, as well as taking part in the recruiting process. Shawn started his construction career working in the residential home building industry while pursuing his education. He earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering from the University of Nebraska. Shawn is a member of many professional organizations and is a registered Professional Engineer in 42 states.
